Chartreuse Gentiane is the bright, bittersweet outlier in the mysterious monks' legendary lineup—made with Alpine gentian root instead of the closely guarded 130-herb recipe, it's the only Chartreuse liqueur where the Carthusians actually reveal the star ingredient, making it their most transparent (and paradoxically, least famous) creation since 1998.
