Basil Hayden falls short....AGAIN!

Basil Hayden has always been one of my favorite bourbons. Unfortunately, their efforts to deliver on the aged bourbon inside various wine, and other cask have continued to fall short. I don't know if they are not leaving it in the casks long enough in order to try and drive a new marketing opportunity, but once again, it has fallen short of (at least my) expectation. There are some bourbon makers that are killing it on the different cask aged bourbons, rums, and even tequilas, but Basil Hayden....try again. Their Red Wine, Subtle Smoke, and now Cognac Cask just don't measure up. I can give them their credit on the Basil Hayden Toasted Barrel.....it is VERY good.
