Aperture Cabernet 2021 is a stunning blend sourced from four mineral-rich, volcanic soil sites on cooler Alexander Valley hillsides. This wine features 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 5% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot, creating a complex and balanced expression.
Opaque ruby purple in color, the wine opens with an incredible bouquet of floral notes, cassis, and boysenberry, tempered by a mineral streak and accented by dried thyme, fresh tobacco leaves, mint chocolate, coffee, and bay leaves. The palate is powerful yet silky and fresh, with lush fruit and remarkable nuance that finishes long and clean.
Approachable and delicious now, this vintage will reward patient cellaring and develop beautifully over time. A wine built for both immediate enjoyment and long-term aging.
