The 2008 Aljibes Petit Verdot spent 12 months in large French oak followed by 4 months in second use barriques. Exotic spices, violets, incense, espresso, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a dense, layered, sexy, potentially complex, lengthy wine. Give it 2-3 years to become a bit more civilized and drink it from 2013 to 2023
