GlenAllachie 10yr Cask Strength Batch 8

Batch 8 joins the growing line of celebrated GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength whiskies. For this edition, master distiller Billy Walker has chosen whisky aged in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez puncheons, and virgin oak and rioja casks. The eighth-release of cask strength 10-year-old from Glenallachie is a marriage of Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry puncheons, as well as a small number of virgin oak and ex-Rioja red wine casks, specially selected by master blender Billy Walker. The result is a nose that bursts with mocha, nutmeg and walnut aromas, followed by heather honey, sweet raisins and dried berries.Bottled at a hefty 57.2% ABV with no added colour, and non-chill filtered, this Speysider is brimming with dried fruit character and nuttiness. The palate offers notes of cinnamon, molasses, honeycomb, ginger, dark chocolate, nutmeg and fennel that linger in the finish.
