The Umani Rochi Montepulciano displays a deep plush red velvet color with a touch of opaqueness. Upfront plum, blackberry, black cherry, bramble berry aromas will fill your nose with happy thoughts.  Pleasantly dry tannins surround the inky, deep fruit flavors with a delicately spiced finish are what sold us on this bottle.  This is a wine built for tomato sauce pasta dishes, pizza, brisket or salami.The nose and palate are both sweet, tart, lively and tangy, with notes of crunchy blackberries, damp earth, graphite and citrus blossom, and acid that crackles around chalky, grippy tannins.
