Prunotto Barbaresco Bric Turot

Rich, muscular, and finessed, Prunotto’s 2020 Barbaresco Bric Turot is a terroir-driven triumph. Fistfuls of violet and rose petals surround the wine’s bright cassis and juicy cherry fruits, while notes of baking spices, licorice, wild grasses, pressed herbs, and blood orange provide tension and complexity. This Barbaresco offers earlier approachability and longevity with its harmonious balance of dusty, fine-grained tannins, elegant acidity, and substantial dry extract. Coming from Prunotto’s 12-acre Bric Turot plot with southwest and southeast exposure, this wine ages in varying vats for a year, followed by a year in bottle prior to release.
