Rich stone fruit comes forward in the form of pear and peach tones accompanied with herbal notes. The fruit slowly gives way to smokey/spicy flavours and a refreshing minerality. The wine remains on the fine lees for 12 months in stainless steel, then further aged in bottle for 12 months before release. 8h of vineyards located in the highest altitude area of Avellino, at around 750m above sea level, and is comprised mostly of rocky-volcanic soils with a limestone-clay subsoil. Its this combination of high elevation and soils that Guido believes makes for great Fiano.
