Clay and Margarita Shannon both grew up in California Wine country; from there they went on to build a vineyard management company. They now take their grapes from bud break all the way to the bottle. Shannon Ridge was founded in 2001.The grapes for this wine were harvested from High Valley and the Red Hills appellations in Lake County. The wine is complex, balanced, and full-bodied with bold but refined tannins. It is aged in 100% French Oak for 16 months, which is difficult to find at this price point.
