Chimay Blue is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.

Not what the website photo showed

I was a bit disappointed with the bottle. The photo showed the bottle with a vintage date of 2014 and the bottle I got did not match. Not sure what that was about. Was looking forward to my first vintage bottle of Belgian beer.

Hi Richard, we’re sorry the bottle didn’t match the 2014 vintage shown in the photo, especially when you were excited to try your first vintage Belgian beer. We understand your disappointment and appreciate you letting us know. We’ll review the product listing so it better reflects what customers will receive. Feel free to reach out to us at customerservice@luekensliquors.com if you would like to discuss the order further.
