Virna Barolo

Deep ruby-garnet center with shades of crimson at the rim. Dark cherry, red and black plum, licorice, rose petal, tan tobacco, and black tea make up the initial impressions. The wine is firm with polished tannins that need an hour in a decanter before revealing the dark fruit underneath. Expansive yet persistent in its finish, this wine is simply delicious with notes of raw walnut and black tea on the finish.
