Gueissard Les Papilles Cotes De Provence Rose 750ml

Les Papilles Rose is a refreshing and food-friendly rosé – made from grapes from the limestone hills and coastal climate of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, Castellet, La Cadière d’Azur, Sainte-Anne-d’Evenos and Le Beausset just north of Bandol.  A relatively warm place, where the cool Mistral wind was greatly appreciated, which in combination with the limestone-rich fields helps to preserve the freshness of the wine.
The fields are cultivated according to ecological principles – and an HVE certification (High Environmental Value) will soon be awarded to the 30 ha domain.
All harvesting and the subsequent selection takes place by hand. After an initial cold maceration, the rosé color is produced using direct pressing, after which the wine is fermented under temperature-controlled conditions on steel.

Les Papilles Rose 2022 opens with charming, fresh aromas of citrus, red strawberries, herbs and crisp minerality. The taste follows beautifully, where the medium-bodied fruit is balanced by mouth-watering, crisp acidity, which creates freshness and a desire for another glass.  A well-made and particularly food-friendly rosé from a good terroir.

Composition:  30% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault
